Chairman Bob Woodard shared information about classes that will be offered free of charge this fall to help employees improve their "soft skills" such as self awareness and self management, work ethics, communication, and problem-solving. While technical skills and experience are important, these soft skills are critical for workers to succeed in their jobs. The "Working Smart - Soft Skills for Workplace Success" is offered through the Albemarle Commission's local NC Works Career Center. The curriculum was developed by the Charlotte Workforce Development Board several years ago and has proven to be successful for both job seekers and employers. For more information or to register yourself or your employees, call the NC Works Career Center in Nags Head at 252.480.3500.Return to full list >>
