Older Adults have a brighter holiday thanks to Charity Plus

Post Date:12/21/2016 9:30 a.m.

Thanks to the generous donation of Charity Plus for Dare, some older adults in Dare County had a brighter holiday season. Charity Plus for Dare has donated to the Dare County Older Adult Fund for the past four years.

The Older Adult Fund allows DHHS to host an annual Older Adult Christmas party. This year’s party was hosted at The Dare Center, catered by Darrell’s restaurant and small gifts were provided to attendees.

“The party is always a wonderful time for our clients who might not have family in Dare County or are not able to travel for the holidays to enjoy some holiday cheer and a delicious meal” commented Katie McCarron, Adult Services Supervisor. “We are grateful for the contribution that allows us to carry on the tradition of our Christmas party for some of our Older Adults”.
