The Dare County Center is located in front the the Dare County Administration building across the street from CVS in Manteo. The Center is a multi-generational facility that will provide resources, programs and activities that will enhance the lives of Dare County citizens of all ages.

The Center amenities include a fitness room, arts and crafts room, lounge/media room, kitchen, dining room, multi-purpose room, stage, activity room, and two classrooms. Click here for Fitness Center Orientation Outline

The Center will provide programs and activities for everyone, this includes youth, adults, older adult and families such as arts and crafts, exercise classes, cooking classes, theater productions, health and wellness programs, trips, health fairs, family fun nights, estate planning, technology classes, tax assistance, Medicare assistance, and much more.

Nutrition Program

The nutrition program’s purpose is to promote, maintain, and improve the health and well-being of older adults through the provision of a nutritionally balanced meal five days per week served in a congregate setting or delivered to the home. Meals are now being served at the Dare County Center Monday-Friday, except holidays.
