This F6F Hellcat model was presented to
Captain Bruce Barackaman for his 75th birthday by his wife Helen,
and donated to the Dare County Regional Airport. Captain Barackman's
wife commissioned the plane to be built by George Rohrbaugh, of
Manteo. Captain Barackman trained in the Navy Squadron VF-50 at NAAS
Manteo. He had donated many of his WWII artifacts to the airport
museum.
