Our Strategic Plan

The strategic planning process is meant to strengthen the organization internally, and focus on a range of agency- level organizational goals, strategies, objectives, and new initiatives.

In November of 2013, the Dare County Board of Commissioners voted unanimously to merge the Department fo Public Health and the Department of Social Services to form the Dare County Department of Health & Human Services.

In efforts to support consolidation between Social Services and Health, a team was tasked with creating a Consolidated Strategic Plan.

The plan is designed to be implemented until the end of June 2019 and the department has made a summary and the entire report available to the community.
