Community of Juvenile Services Director
The Community of Juvenile Services, funded by the Juvenile Crime Prevention Council (JCPC), is a program serving at-risk youth in Dare County. The Director is responsible for overseeing four program components: Dare County Teen Court, Dare County Community Service and Restitution, Youth Accountability and Counseling Services, and Community of Juvenile Service Psychological Evaluations. The Director’s main responsibilities include intensive case management, monitoring compliance with JCPC standards, and recruiting and training student volunteers. The ideal applicant will have a four-year degree in a human services field, possess strong leadership, organizational and communication skills, and be able to build and maintain a positive rapport with middle and high school student and parents. Previous work experience with youth is preferred. The position requires an average of 30 hours each week. The Director will work under the supervision of the Dare County Community of Juvenile Services Advisory Committee and is employed as an independent contractor with Dare County. This is a contract position and not a full time position with Dare County. Dare County is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
