The Dare County Personnel Department is responsible for establishing and maintaining a confidential employment history file on each employee, as well as coordinating employee benefits, retirement, and workers compensation programs. The Department advertises all position vacancies, processes all applications, and maintains a recruitment file of applicants from applications received (all applications are kept on file for one year).
