The Fleet Maintenance Department provides a full line service and repair facility for all Dare County departmental vehicles. The services provided at this facility include oil changes, transmission service, tire replacement / repair, tire rotation and balance, tune ups, state inspections, major / minor engine repairs, and emergency towing. We also maintain the heavy truck fleet utilized in the collection and disposal of refuse by the Sanitation Recycling Transfer, and Landfill Departments. These services include hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical and welding repairs. This department also maintains a complete auto and heavy truck parts inventory in a centrally located warehouse, a preventative maintenance facility, tire repair shops and a body and paint shop. Service is provided on a priority basis to E.M.S., Sheriff, and Sanitation departments. 1018 Driftwood
