The Dare County Department of Public Health Clinic, located in Manteo, offers public health services including prenatal services, family planning, adult health and well child care, nutritional counseling, athletic, work and school physicals, immunizations, tuberculosis and sexually transmitted disease testing and treatment, HIV counseling and testing, Diabetes Education Program and Medical Nutrition Therapy. In addition the Health Department offers a Women, Infant, Children Program and a Breast and Cervical Cancer Program. A major component of the ongoing programs involves health education and community outreach conducted by the professional staff. Some services are Medicaid-reimbursable for eligible patients or provided through a sliding fee scale for patients with the ability to pay.
Both locations offer the
following hours of operation: * Not all services are available everyday. Appointments are encouraged, however walk-ins are welcome. Please call for information, appointment, or special program hours. |
