The Environmental Health Services Division

supports the mission of the Dare County Department of Public Health by providing environmental protection for the residents of Dare County.

The division’s primary areas of service are: ensuring safe food handling, proper on-site sewage treatment and disposal, and proper sanitation. These services are provided through education, interpreting and surveying potential environmental hazards, enforcing state and local laws and rules and regulations pertaining to public health through the services listed.
