Beach Access Legislation, Senate Bill 2372
Warren Judge, Chairman of the Dare County Board of Commissioners, will testify at the Senate's National Parks Subcommittee Hearing. The proposed legislation, reintroduced by Senator Richard Burr and Senator Kay Hagan, would reinstate the Interim Management Strategy governing off-road vehicle use in the Cape Hatteras National Seashore Recreational Area, allowing the Park Superintendent to utilize an active management approach - based on science - to protect turtles and shorebirds. The hearing will be webcast live on the Committee's website and an archived video will be available shortly after the hearing is complete.
