Dare County Mourns the Passing of Commissioner Warren Judge

The Board of Commissioners and Dare County employees are deeply saddened by the death of Commissioner Warren Judge who passed away November 5, 2016, following a sudden illness.
Commissioner Judge, first elected in 2000, worked tirelessly for the people of Dare County and was well known for his active participation in civic and community events. He served eleven terms as Chairman of the Board and dedicated countless hours to serving on a wide range of boards and committees.
Chairman Robert Woodard remembers Commissioner Judge as "Someone who dedicated his life to public service. Whether serving on one of the many committees that benefitted from his wisdom and experience, or assisting someone in the community who needed his help, you could always count on Warren Judge."
Woodard added, "Warren truly loved Dare County and demonstrated it every day in the passionate way that he worked to make a difference as a Dare County Commissioner. He will long be remembered as a community leader and cherished for his legacy of public service. We are united in prayer for Warren's wife Tess and all of his family."
