Dare County Narcotics Task Force Makes Arrests

On October 13, 2016, Dare County Narcotics Task Force* with the assistance of the Dare County Joint Emergency Response Team executed a search warrant in the 600 block of Fernando Street in Manteo, North Carolina.  The search warrant was for individuals selling cocaine.  During the search warrant evidence was seized that was consistent with the distribution of cocaine.  See below for arrest information:

Matthew Len McMurrin (B/M. 56) and Santina Marice Norman (B/F, 30) both of Fernando Street, Manteo, NC 27954 were charged with Felony Maintaining a Dwelling for a Controlled Substance.  Both have been released on bond.

On October 14, 2016, Dare County Narcotics Task Force* was continuing an investigation into the manufacturing of methamphetamine around the Manns Harbor, North Carolina area.  That investigation led to the arrest of an individual for numerous charges.  The North Carolina State Bureau of Investigations Clandestine Laboratory Response Team had responded earlier in the week to clean up the methamphetamine one pot lab.   See below for arrest information:

Danny Allan Disney (W/M, 45)
Whites Apartments, Manns Harbor, NC 27953

Disney was charged with the following and being held in lieu of a $75,000 secured bond;

Felony Manufacturing of Methamphetamine

Felony Possession of Methamphetamine Precursor

Felony Possession of Pseudoephedrine following a prior Methamphetamine conviction
