Jeanie Midgett, Senior Custodian at the Dare County Justice Center is the June 2018 Dare County Employee of the Month. Human Resources Director Elizabeth Reilly presented Midgett with the award at the June 18, 2018 Board of Commissioners meeting.
Midgett began working for Dare County in August 2014 when she was hired as Senior Custodian at the Dare County Justice Center. “Jeanie does a phenomenal job in keeping the Justice Center clean and in order. There is no job too big or too small for Jeanie. She always does whatever is asked of her with a smile on her face and makes any task fun,” remarked Reilly during the presentation.
“On many occasions, Jeanie has filled in here at the Administration Building due to turnover. She is always so willing to step away from her everyday tasks and assist us with whatever we need. She makes our building shine with cleanliness and a wonderful personality. She is a true asset to Dare County,” said Reilly.
During the nomination process, a coworker stated “She takes on additional work with a positive attitude and a smile. The building appears much cleaner when she is in charge. She seems to enjoy her work and always makes sure our entryways are clean and germ free.”
When Jeannie is not at work, she is spending time with her husband, Gary, and two daughters, Dailey and Parker. She is a huge animal lover and loves to pet sit.
