Assistant County Assessor Receives Professional Designation

Assistant County Assessor Hosea Wilson recently received a professional designation as an Assessment Administration Specialist (AAS) from the International Association of Assessing Officers (IAAO). The AAS designation recognizes professionalism and competency in the administration of property tax valuation and tax policy matters. It signifies exceptional competence in the skills unique to property assessment for tax purposes. Wilson is one of 251 active AAS designees worldwide and has been working towards this designation for 10 years. The IAAO sets worldwide standards for mass appraisal and provides education and designations for the industry. In addition to his new designation, Wilson is a state certified real estate appraiser, NC Real Estate Broker, and a certified county assessor with the NC Department of Revenue.
