Dare Soil and Water Conservation District Seeking High School Student Applications

The 56th Annual Resource Conservation Workshop will be held June 23-28 at NC State University. Dare SWCD is seeking applications from rising sophomores, juniors and seniors (graduates are not eligible) to apply for a FREE opportunity to attend the North Carolina Division of Soil & Water Conservation Resource Conservation Workshop. Students selected by Districts from across North Carolina participate in a six-day camp that includes studies in soil science; water, wildlife, recreation and fish management; forestry and forestry management; and soil and water conservation. Students also receive information and insight into careers in natural resource management. The camp culminates in a celebration of knowledge exam. Students also have the opportunity to receive scholarships during the week.
