Roanoke Island Drainage Report Meeting

The report was presented by Moffat & Nichols, the firm commissioned by NCDOT, at the request of the Board, to complete an engineering study of drainage issues on northern Roanoke Island. Approximately 50 residents and property owners joined the Board of Commissioners and county staff at the community meeting held on Monday, September 23. The report outlined a series of recommended phased drainage improvements at an estimated cost of  $2.6 million. The Board of Commissioners will address the report at a future meeting.
