The Dare County Sheriff's Office is proud to protect and serve its community, citizens and visitors. Since 1870, Dare County Deputies have been doing their part to help make our community on the Outer Banks, Roanoke Island and Mainland of Dare County, a better place to live, work and visit. With a current staff of 147 Deputies and support personnel, The Dare County Sheriff's Office is a full service law enforcement agency working within various Divisions. We also run a great Summer Camp for our youth.

COVID-19 Video #24

The Dare County Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) has released COVID-19 Video #24. Health and Human Services Director Sheila Davies provides an update on COVID-19 in Dare County.

The video is available for streaming Dare County’s YouTube channel at youtube.com/DareCounty. It has also been shared on the Department of Health and Human Services’ FaceBook page and on Dare County’s Twitter account @DareCountyGovt. The video will be broadcast on Current TV Government Channel 191 for local Spectrum TV customers. CurrentTV’s programming schedule and additional programming is available for viewing on-demand at CurrentTV.org.
