North Carolina businesses and residents affected by Hurricane Dorian on Sept. 1 - 9, 2019 can apply for low-interest disaster loans from the U.S. Small Business Administration, Acting Administrator Christopher Pilkerton announced today.

A public hearing will be held on Nov. 4 at 9:30 a.m. for the Dare County Board of Commissioners to receive comments regarding the special assessment and construction of a water supply system to extend service to 21 properties located on Leslie Lane in Avon.
Motorists can expect single lane closures while dune repairs are made and short and frequent closures of both lanes to allow for the safe movement of personnel working on the dunes.
