 There are several free public boat ramps and docks located within Dare County.


Dare County’s accesses include:

Hatteras: Village Marina, Hwy 12. 44 boat slips. No overnight mooring. For loading and unloading only.

Kitty Hawk: Turn off 158 Bypass onto Kitty Hawk Road, follow approx. 2 miles; turn left onto Bob Perry Road. Boat ramp ½ mile on right. No overnight dockage

Manns Harbor: BeBop’s Multi Purpose Pier - Hwy 64/264. Located at the west end of the William B. Umstead bridge (old bridge). Fishing, crabbing, purple martin viewing as well as great photography location. Handicapped friendly.

Manns Harbor: Access Area Hwy 64/264 Located at the west end of the William B. Umstead bridge (old bridge). This multi-use facility provides both commercial and recreational access to Croatan Sound, as well as green space suitable for picnicking, wildlife viewing and launching canoes and kayaks. There are three boat ramps and two floating docks.

Rodanthe: Myrna Peters Road. This is a natural sound side boating launching area. No overnight dockage.

Wanchese: Mill Landing Road. Limited parking. This ramp is designed for un-loading and on-loading trailered boats. Limited parking access available. No overnight dockage
