The three Dare County Libraries circulated over 178,466 physical items such as books and DVD's putting us almost 20% higher than the state average in total per capita borrowing. Put another way, it is as if every man, woman and child in Dare County borrowed five items from us last year.
We lent 11,817Cloud Library eBooks and eAudios to Dare County residents.
For all of FY 2018-2019, Tumblebooks (eBooks for kids) database was accessed 7,373 times.
Other digital content (Universal Class, RB Digital Magazines and NCKIDS) was accessed 5,143 times.
The three Dare County Libraries are open to the public a combined 124 hours per week.
Over 11,800 children attended a Dare County Library program or story time last year.

We delivered 2,090 items to the elderly and home-bound though our outreach service.

Our public computers were used 13,566 times.
Tallied over 14,700 wireless internet sessions.
Borrowed 688 books, newspaper and periodicals from public and academic libraries throughout the Country through our interlibrary loan service.
There are over 81,000 items in the three Dare County Libraries - 240,000 in the East Albemarle Regional Library system.
