 The placement of signs in unincorporated Dare County is regulated by the Dare County Sign Ordinance. This Ordinance details the dimensional standards and height limitations for on-premise commercial advertising.

All signs to be displayed in unincorporated Dare County must be authorized by a sign permit. These permits are issued by the Planning Department.
