Current Construction Zone A portion of this area is currently closed to the public for beach nourishment construction. At this location, sand will be expelled from a pipe. Construction vehicles will then move the sand into place.
Nourishment Complete Beach nourishment has been completed in the areas notated on the map in green. Beaches are open to the public. Completed beaches may still have pipes running parallel to the shoreline. Sand walkovers are available every 300 feet available for beach patrons in these areas.

The maps will provide updates regarding beach nourishment projects in the towns of Duck, Kitty Hawk, Kill Devil Hills and Buxton on the Outer Banks of North Carolina.
